Jethro Gauld

Jethro Gauld is a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at RSPB, providing GIS and data management support for conservation efforts since February 2023. In March 2024, Jethro transitioned to a Conservation Scientist role within RSPB's Marine Sciences section, focusing on seabirds, bird tracking technologies, climate change, and renewable energy. With experience as a Senior GIS Technician and prior roles including Chair of East Cambridgeshire Climate Action Network and Consultant Ecologist at Direct Ecology Ltd, Jethro has extensive expertise in ecological research and GIS applications. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Conservation Science from the University of East Anglia, an MSc in Ecosystem Services from The University of Edinburgh, and a BSc (Hons) in Ecology and Conservation from The University of Sussex.
