Steve Ormerod

Steve Ormerod is an accomplished ecologist with extensive experience in biodiversity and water research. Current roles include Chair of the Strategic Implementation Group on Biodiversity for the Welsh Government, and positions as Chair and Deputy Chairman at Natural Resources Wales. As a Professor of Ecology at Cardiff University since 1983, Steve Ormerod has contributed significantly to the Water Research Institute and co-chairs the Cardiff Water Research Consortium. Additional involvements include membership at JNCC and serving as Vice President of RSPB. With editorial roles at Wiley-Blackwell and longstanding contributions to various ecological organizations, Steve Ormerod's expertise is grounded in a strong academic background with a PhD in River Ecology from Cardiff University.
