Tom Thorp has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles.
Starting in 2012, they worked at the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, where they held positions such as Deputy University Manager and Policy and Research Manager. Tom later became the Faith and Globalisation Manager and finally the University Manager before leaving in 2016.
From 2016 to 2022, Tom worked at the Office of the North Yorkshire Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner. Tom had various roles including Policy and Research Officer, Acting Chief of Staff, Policy and Scrutiny Manager, and ultimately, Assistant Chief Executive and Deputy Monitoring Officer.
Currently, Tom is at RSPB, where they started as a Business Planning Lead Specialist in October 2022. Tom then transitioned into the role of Strategic and Business Planning Lead Specialist in August 2023. Tom'stenure with the company is ongoing.

Tom Thorp attended Durham University from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Politics. Tom then continued their education at Durham University from 2011 to 2012, obtaining a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Faith and Globalisation (International Affairs and Religious Studies).
