Anthony Coplestone

Anthony Coplestone serves as the Head of Ergonomics at High Speed Two (HS2), where they focus on enhancing human safety and performance in railway design and operations. They currently chair the Human Factors Strategy Group for the Rail Industry while possessing extensive experience in project delivery and human factors integration from previous roles at Ford Motor Company and Network Rail. Educated at Birmingham University with a Master’s Degree in Work Design and Ergonomics and the University of Portsmouth, where they received a BA in Psychology, Anthony continues to influence the ergonomics field through innovative approaches in system design and safety assurance.
