Richard Allan

Richard Allan is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the rail industry, notably serving in various senior roles at Arriva Rail North from July 2007 to July 2009, including Head of Communications, People & Strategy Director, and Commercial Director, where achievements included significant enhancements in operations and customer service. Prior to this, Richard was the External Communications Manager at GNER from January 2004 to June 2007, responsible for stakeholder and public affairs. Currently, Richard serves as a Trustee at Railway Children, a Non-Executive Director at RSSB, and Chair of the Sustainable Rail Executive, while also holding the position of Managing Director at Chiltern Railways since October 2020. Richard holds an MA in Politics from The University of Glasgow and a Postgraduate Certificate in Executive Leadership from Leeds Metropolitan University.
