Tom Lee

Tom Lee is a seasoned railway executive and chartered engineer currently serving as the Director of Standards at RSSB, where they lead initiatives to advance the Rail Industry Standards Strategy in alignment with European and International standards. With a notable history in engineering safety management and project leadership, Tom developed their expertise through various roles at RSSB, British Rail, GTRM, Alstom Transport, and Carillion. They hold a BEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and are a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET) and the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (FIRSE). As a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, Tom is committed to motivating teams and influencing standards within the railway industry.
