Ivan Zima

VP, Digital Regions at Rostelecom

In 1994 he graduated as a radio engineer from Irkutsk State Technical University and later on in 2002 graduated from Siberian University of Telecommunications and Information in Novosibirsk as a manager-engineer.

His MBA degree Ivan received in 2006 from Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics.

Ivan’s career in Rostelecom started in 1998 when he became a lead engineer of a branch of Rostelecom, and after that he has gone all the way up to Senior Vice President for telecommunications network development. He was in charge of some major large-scale project implementation such as Video Surveillance at the Elections of the President of the Russian Federation in 2012 and deployment of a backbone segment of the telecommunications network to provide communications services for the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi.

Starting in 2019, Ivan Zima served as Vice President and Director of Volga macro-regional branch.

In 2022 Ivan Zima was appointed Vice President for Digital Regions.
