Michael Loftus is currently the Media Streaming Infrastructure Lead at RTÉ, a position held since 2025, and previously served as a Senior Technology Infrastructure Engineer at the same company from 2016 to 2025. With extensive experience in the broadcast and IT sectors, they worked as an IT Manager at Windmill Lane Pictures Ltd from 2011 to 2016 and as a Broadcast/IT Engineer from 2006 to 2011. Michael began their career as a Broadcast Technician at Screen Scene Post Production from 2001 to 2003 and as an Electronics Test and Repair Technician at Europlex Technologies Ltd from 1999 to 2001. They hold a Master’s degree in Digital Investigation and Forensic Computing from University College Dublin and various certifications in computing and electronics.
