Zhan Baghiyan is an accomplished academic and communication specialist with extensive experience in educational and media roles. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Deputy Executive Director on educational work at the Branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University in Yerevan since September 2015, Zhan also works as an Armenia-based correspondent for RTVI International. Previous positions include roles as a Communication Specialist for the World Bank and as National Focal Point for Communication at the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). Zhan's career has focused on developing communication strategies in the agricultural sector, particularly in food safety and animal health. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Philology and a strong background in journalism.
