Charles Long is a Technical Fellow and Chief Architect specializing in Mission Systems Autonomy at RTX since 2023. Previously, they held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Squire Solutions and served as a Principal Software Engineer at Rockwell Collins, where they designed defense applications and communication systems. As the founder of Phyletic Systems, Inc., Charles developed innovative solutions for Big Data and enterprise spaces, notably utilizing unique approaches to information retrieval and analytics. They have extensive experience in technical architecture across various prominent companies, including L3Harris Technologies and MITRE, and are currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Software Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, which they began in 2005.
