David J. Kim

David J. Kim is an experienced engineering professional with a robust background in systems engineering and software modernization. Currently serving as Director of Software Modernization and Director of Systems Engineering at RTX since April 2020, David leads strategic initiatives for a workforce of 15,000 engineers. Prior to this role, David spent over a decade at Raytheon, where responsibilities included leadership positions such as Senior Manager for Systems Engineering, overseeing the Maritime Systems department, and Integrated Product Team Lead for the LPD 17 Class Program, managing teams in the development and improvement of complex systems supporting the Navy. David's technical expertise is complemented by a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Engineering and Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
