Douglas Shapiro

Douglas Shapiro is a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida. They have engaged in various projects during their studies, including designing a microscope-mounted cancer cell 3D printer and working on hyperloop vehicle designs. With over three years of experience as an opto-mechanical design engineer, Douglas has developed proficiency in structures, tooling, CAD design, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Currently, they are enhancing their skills to pursue their passion for autonomy, mechatronics, and robotic systems.
