Dr. William Sanborn, Jr. is currently an Engineering Fellow at Raytheon Missiles & Defense, where they leverage their extensive expertise in energetic materials chemistry and analysis. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Arizona State University, they have over 35 publications and hold four patents. Previously, they served as a Senior Staff Scientist at Pacific Scientific-EMC from 1993 to 2012, focusing on chemical and materials science solutions, and worked as a Senior Principal Multidiscipline Engineer at Raytheon Missile Systems from 2012 to 2021. Additionally, Dr. Sanborn coordinated community outreach programs for teens through IPMS-PHX between 2008 and 2013 and has achieved the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt while instructing taekwondo students from 1996 to 2011.
