Matthew Hoeper

Matthew Hoeper is a Combustion and Propulsion Engineer and a PhD student at Purdue University, where they study Mechanical Engineering under Dr. Terrence Meyer, focusing on combustion, sprays, and propulsion. Prior to their current role as a Senior Research Engineer at RTX, Matthew served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University from 2018 to 2024 and received the NASA Space Technology Research Opportunities Fellowship in 2020. They also gained experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Oregon State University, where they studied pulse detonation combustion and solid rocket propellant combustion. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University and Purdue University, respectively.
