Micheria Ferrell

Micheria Ferrell, MS, is a Software Architect and Software Section Lead at Collins Aerospace, where they focus on designing scalable, high-reliability software for embedded and real-time systems in the defense and aerospace sectors. With expertise spanning system architecture and low-level development in C/C++, as well as scripting and automation using Python and Bash, Micheria effectively bridges the gap between hardware and software. They have managed and mentored a team of 10–15 software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and open communication to help team members grow professionally. Micheria holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of South Florida and is actively involved in community service as Technology Co-Chair and Treasurer for the St. Petersburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
