Ray Duran

Ray Duran is a Signal Processing Engineer at Raytheon Technologies, specializing in math and algorithm implementation in FPGAs for low-latency real-time computation. Previously, Duran served as a Boatswain Mate in the US Navy and held various engineering roles at companies including Holontech, Extron Electronics, and the US Air Force, focusing on hardware development and video compression algorithms. Duran earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Fresno and a Master’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is currently a doctoral student at the University of North Dakota, with research interests in smooth manifolds, algebraic topology, and biomedical imaging.
