Seung Bum Kim

Seung Bum Kim is a Staff Research Engineer at Raytheon Technologies Research Center, where they have been engaged since 2020. With 15 years of experience in developing nondestructive testing methodologies and damage detection algorithms for critical aircraft structures, they possess particular expertise in guided wave based active sensing. Prior to their current role, they served as a Senior Research Engineer and held a postdoctoral research position at Arizona State University. Seung Bum Kim earned a B.S. in Civil, Urban, and Geosystem Engineering from Seoul National University, an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and has published over 30 research findings.
