Soumalya Sarkar

Soumalya Sarkar is a Principal Research Scientist at Raytheon Technologies, focusing on machine learning, deep reinforcement learning, and data-driven multi-physics modeling. Previously, Soumalya held positions as a Senior Research Scientist at United Technologies Research Center and Senior Principal Research Scientist at Raytheon Technologies in 2021. Earlier, Soumalya interned at the US Army Research Laboratory and contributed to projects involving symbolic dynamics and time series analysis. Soumalya earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and multiple master’s degrees from Penn State University, specializing in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering.
