Ruach Arava is a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to strengthening Israeli Society through the unique spirit of the Arava, a spirit rooted in resilience, community, agricultural work, connection to the land, and the determination to make the desert bloom despite every challenge.

In Israel’s most remote region, where life demands creativity, responsibility, perseverance, and mutual support, we create transformative educational and community experiences for young Israelis from all backgrounds. Through pre-army and post-army programs, agricultural initiatives, leadership development, and work with youth at risk, Ruach Arava (רוח ערבה) brings together secular and religious youth, Women and Men, young people from Kibbutzim, Moshavim, and Cities across Israel.

Through connection to the land, agricultural work, and shared responsibility, we nurture leadership, resilience, mutual support, and a deep sense of belonging, empowering young Israelis to become active partners in shaping a stronger, more resilient, and more connected Israeli society.
