Beat Furrer

Beat Furrer has extensive experience in flight testing and aviation operations, currently serving as the Head of Flight Test at RUAG since May 2001. Responsibilities include overseeing all Flight Test and Maintenance Check Flight activities within a civil Design and Maintenance Organisation. Furrer has held various roles at RUAG, including Chief Flight Test Pilot, where policy formulation and crew training were key responsibilities, and Deputy Head of Factory Flight Department, focusing on crew planning and training. Additionally, Furrer has been a Synthetic Flight Instructor for the Swiss Air Force since June 1997, specializing in crew training on AS332/532 helicopters, and has extensive flying experience, including troop transport and emergency operations. Furrer holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Bern University of Applied Sciences and completed military pilot training at the Swiss Air Force Pilot School.
