Imre Kovács

Imre Kovács has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Imre most recently worked as an Expert at Innosuisse starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Head of the Innovation Lab and the Head of the Digital Garage at RUAG from January 2021 to September 2022. Imre also held the position of Teamleader Flight Simulation & Systems Engineering at RUAG from November 2016 to December 2020.

Before joining RUAG, Imre worked at Noser Engineering AG as the Business Unit Leiter Software Engineering for a brief period in 2016. Imre also served as the Head of R&D and Technischer Teamleiter Entwicklung at Codan Argus AG from 2012 to 2016, and as the Product & Project Manager at Duagon AG from 2010 to 2012.

Imre started their career at u-blox AG as a Project Engineer from 2001 to 2003. Overall, they have a strong background in innovation, leadership, and project management.

Imre Kovács received their Matura Typus E (Wirtschaft) from Kantonsschule Heerbrugg(SG) in 1996. Imre later pursued a Dipl. El.Ing. ETH degree in RF- & Microelectronics at ETH Zürich from 1996 to 2001. In 2004, they obtained a PhD in Microelectronics from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). Imre Kovács also expanded their knowledge by earning two Nanodegrees from Udacity, one in Deep Learning in 2019 and another in Deep Reinforcement Learning in 2020. Additionally, they attained a Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org in 2012.
