Michael Hadd

Michael Hadd is an experienced pharmaceutical consultant and medicinal chemist. Michael started their career in 2002 as a Scientist at BioFocus DPI and Discovery Partners Inc., where they eventually progressed to Team Leader - Medicinal Chemistry. In 2007, they joined Ambit Biosciences as a Sr. Scientist II Medicinal Chemistry, where they were responsible for developing a second generation JAK and second generation CSF1R candidate. Michael also submitted 8 patent applications and was awarded the Ambit Biosciences Achievement Impact Award. In 2011, they started their own business, Hadd Pharma Consulting, where they have been working as a Pharmaceutical Consultant and Medicinal Chemistry Consultant. Michael is currently the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Rubedo Life Sciences since 2022.

Michael Hadd obtained their B.S. in Chemistry and Business/Economics from Randolph-Macon College between 1989 and 1993. Michael then pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Arizona between 1993 and 1998. After this, they obtained their M.B.A. in Management and Business Administration from the University of Arizona between 1999 and 2001. Finally, they obtained a Certificate in Clinical Trials Design and Management from UC San Diego between 2011 and 2012.
