Li Ding is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in virtualization and data management technologies. Currently at Rubrik, Inc. since August 2018, Li focuses on enhancing the performance of VMware virtual machine backup and restore processes and developing a VMware IO filter for continuous data protection. Previously, positions at VMware included work on the Virtual Distributed File System, where Li implemented a variable sized B-Tree and various performance enhancements, along with foundational roles in USB and CPU virtualization. Earlier experience includes contributions to FlockerHub at ClusterHQ and significant development of USB device drivers and flagship products at Computer Access Technology. Li holds a BS and MS in Computer Engineering from Tsinghua University and the University of Cincinnati, respectively.
