Rick Briggs

Rick Briggs is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and management across various technology companies. Currently serving as Sr Director Engineering at Rubrik, Inc. since June 2018, Rick leads the development of platform software and infrastructure for cloud data management solutions. Prior roles include Sr Director Software Engineering at EMC, where Rick was instrumental in the growth of the Data Domain product line, and Software Director positions at DataDomain and Asempra, focusing on platform software and continuous data protection products, respectively. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Amicus Wireless, Brocade, and Centerpoint Broadband Communications, where Rick contributed to advancements in firmware, Fibre Channel services, and optical network elements. Rick holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from UCLA.
