Surya Manda has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles.
Surya started their career in 1992 as a Senior Software Engineer at Esseven Infotech Ltd, where they developed computer-based tutorial products using C++ and databases B-trieve and SQL Server.
In 1993, they joined Citicorp Information Technologies Ltd (later renamed to i-flex/Oracle Financial Services) as a Senior Associate. Surya was part of the development team that built the retail banking product Finware, focusing on UI using C++.
From 1994 to 1996, Surya worked as a Consultant at FirstUSA Merchant Services (Acquired by Bank One/JP Morgan Chase), where they developed a critical reconciliation application and built a remote-access application for customers using a dial-up connection.
In 1996, they joined Paymentech Inc as a Senior Software Developer, working until 2002. There, they contributed to critical applications/systems and played a key role in ensuring 24/7/365 availability for digital payments.
From 2002 to 2011, Surya held the position of Senior Manager Technology at Paymentech, responsible for building and managing infrastructure and development teams. Surya played a crucial part in ensuring the availability of highly critical applications/systems for digital payments.
In 2012, they joined JPMorgan Chase/Paymentech as a Vice President, where they served as a Senior Manager and built teams for developing and maintaining software/systems for risk management and performance engineering of retail applications. Surya managed teams working with technologies including Java, Oracle, Informatica, and more.
Surya then transitioned to Rubus Digital Inc. in 2018, first as the Director of Technology, and later as the Head of Digital Transformation and Operational Excellence. There, they played a strategic role in leading digital transformation initiatives and ensuring operational excellence.
Throughout their career, Surya has showcased their expertise in technology management, software development, team building, and ensuring the availability of critical applications/systems in the financial and digital payments industry.
