Nigel Bennett

Nigel Bennett is a qualified Mining Engineer with over 15 years of industry experience, including more than 12 years specialized in underground mining. Currently serving as Interim Project Manager at RUC Mining, Nigel is responsible for the onsite startup and handover of projects. Previously, Nigel held multiple roles at RUC Mining Contractors, including Engineering Manager and Project Manager for Shaft and Civil Operations, overseeing significant shaft sinking initiatives. At Mining Plus, Nigel managed the Western Australian Underground Team, focusing on project estimates and workflow management. Earlier positions include Business Manager at Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific and several roles at Barrick Gold Australia, New Millenium Resources, and Sons of Gwalia, encompassing production engineering, project management, and operational oversight in various capacities. Nigel holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from the Western Australian School of Mines and has also studied Agricultural Science at The University of Western Australia.
