Jacob Murphy has a diverse work experience in various roles in the media and theater industry. Jacob started their career in 2007 as a Workshop Apprentice at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, where they fulfilled youth outreach, company management, and stage-crew responsibilities. Jacob then worked as a Script Reader at Vineyard Theatre in 2008.

In 2010, Jacob joined Red Elevator Productions as a Producer, where they contributed to production management and curated programming. Jacob also conceived the collection "TOO LITTLE TOO LATE," featuring works by emerging playwrights who have achieved great success in their careers.

From 2007 to 2011, Jacob served as a Production and Marketing Associate at RATTLESTICK PLAYWRIGHT THEATER, where they implemented a successful PR strategy resulting in increased ticket sales, subscriptions, and media attention for productions.

In 2014, Jacob joined the Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation as a Marketing and Communications Associate, overseeing various communication and marketing programs. Jacob notably launched a new website for the foundation.

Jacob then founded their own media company, Jacob Murphy Media, in 2017, where they worked as a Writer, Web Designer, and Content Strategist until 2019.

In 2020, Jacob joined Ruca as a Senior Writer & Content Lead, and in 2022, they started working at Gather as a Digital Copywriter and Content Strategist. Currently, they hold the position of Creative Director at Act One Media since 2018, where they oversee creative direction for the company.

Jacob Murphy earned their Bachelor's Degree in Drama from New York University, completing their education from 2004 to 2008.
