Michael Smith

Michael Smith is currently the Director of Lean at Ruger Firearms, where they leverage their extensive experience in mechanical engineering and operations leadership. Previously, they held the position of Value Stream Manager at Ruger Firearms, where they successfully increased production capacity and coordinated cross-functional teams. Earlier in their career, as a Manufacturing Engineer, they developed an integrated production cell for SP101 manufacturing, achieving significant reductions in inventory and improvements in productivity. Michael holds an MBA in High Technology Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
