Nowai Tolbert

Nowai Tolbert has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. They started their career as a Residents Assistant at Wartburg College student life in 2007. They then worked as a Resident Care Specialist at 2 Community Based Services from 2007 to 2008. In 2009, they worked as a Social Worker at Lutheran Family Services of Colorado for a few months. From 2009 to 2011, they held roles as Program Coordinator and Program Director at REM Minnesota/ Mentor Network, where they managed various services for individuals with different diagnoses. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Program Director at Dungarvin, overseeing new staff training and development, as well as managing finances and individual service plans. Starting in 2015 and continuing to the present, Nowai is currently working as a BH Supervisor at NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center, where they assist in the operation of a major work unit/department and update procedures and policies. Most recently, they were appointed as the Community Outreach Director at Rumi, beginning in January 2023.

Nowai Tolbert completed a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree in Social Work at Wartburg College from 2005 to 2009. Simultaneously, Nowai also pursued a degree in Social and Family Service during the same time period.
