Andrea Johnson

Andrea Johnson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the political field. Andrea started their career as a Campaign Manager for the Linda Johnson for Kansas State House Campaign in 2013, where they successfully led an expanded campaign and managed all aspects of the campaign.

Andrea later worked as a Communications Consultant for the Kansas Democratic Party, where they provided messaging strategy and communications support to first-time candidates in targeted races.

In 2015, Andrea joined Hillary for America as a Ramp-up Organizer and later as a State Organizing Lead. In these roles, they organized grassroots bases, coordinated canvassing efforts, and made phone calls to support the campaign during the Kansas caucuses.

Andrea continued their work with Hillary for America in 2016 as a State Director, where they organized and trained a team of volunteer leaders across the state. Andrea also managed weekly phone banks, coordinated canvassing shifts, and recruited volunteers.

After their work with Hillary for America, Andrea served as Senior Advisor for the Brent Welder for Congress campaign in 2018. In this position, they oversaw the campaign's email outreach and fundraising program, advised on social media and communications, and created systems for online fundraising.

Also in 2018, they worked as a Senior Advisor at Run the World Digital, where they provided strategic advice and content creation for clients in multiple states. Andrea advised on email programs and contributed to growth initiatives and marketing plans.

Prior to that, Andrea was a Trainer and Digital Subject Matter Expert at the National Democratic Training Committee in 2018. Andrea conducted trainings on digital strategies for candidates, campaign staff, and activists nationwide, with a focus on integrated messaging, social media, and email content.

Currently, Andrea is working as the Western Regional Director at Run for Something since 2019. Andrea is responsible for directing and overseeing campaign efforts in the western region.
