Post Production Engineer at Run Studios

Alex Salmona has a diverse work experience in the media industry. They started their career as a Video Editor at The 5th Wheel in 2001 and worked there until 2004. Afterwards, they joined Entertainment Tonight in 2004 and held various roles including Video Editor, Audio Mixer, and Broadcast Engineer. They worked in the Engineering Department and were responsible for working with various video formats and files, as well as writing scripts for automating file conversion. In 2020, Alex joined CNN as a Broadcast Engineer and worked there until 2021. Currently, they are employed as a Post Production Engineer at Run Studios.

Alex Salmona attended Chapman University from 1994-1998, where they studied Film/TV Production. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications in different areas. These certifications include "Putting ITIL® Into Practice: Applying ITIL® 4 Foundation Concepts" and "Learning ITIL®" from LinkedIn, both received in 2020 and related to IT service management. In 2018, they became a Dante Certified Trainer and obtained the Dante Certification Level 3 from Audinate. In 2017, they earned the mRes certification from Pronology and received the Dante Certification Level 1 and Dante Certification Level 2 from Audinate. In 2015, they completed the REDucation workshop from RED Digital Cinema, the Sony F5 / F55 Intensive Workshop from Sony Electronics Professional Solutions Americas, and the Arri Alexa Intensive Workshop from ARRI.
