Daniel Zana has a diverse work experience in video editing and production. Daniel currently works at Microsoft as a Video Editor/Producer, where they are responsible for recording and editing video tutorials, case studies, and how-to videos for the Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Community team. Daniel also produces and edits "Power Platform Connections," a weekly talk show, and manages the Microsoft Power Platform YouTube channel.
Prior to Microsoft, Daniel worked at Straylight Collective as a Director/Editor, where they created content such as short documentaries, music videos, commercials, and short films. Daniel also freelanced as a video editor for clients like The Skills, Glowforge, and Johns Hopkins University's ISET Program. Additionally, they directed, edited, and produced "The Vinyl Frontier," a documentary feature film about designer vinyl toys.

Daniel Zana earned a Bachelor's Degree in Cinema Television Arts Editing Emphasis from California State University, Northridge, which they attended from 2001 to 2005. In 2019, they also completed a User Experience Design program at General Assembly Seattle. Additionally, in 2003, they briefly attended Hunter College but did not earn a degree or specify a field of study.
