Erin Layer

Erin Layer began their work experience as a Research Associate II at Flatley Discovery Lab in 2010, where they implemented and validated the Equivalent Current assay for studying the effects of small molecules on CFTR trafficking and function. Erin also developed new protocols and assays and presented scientific results to senior staff. In 2013, Erin joined Pfizer as an Associate Scientist, continuing their research on CFTR trafficking and function and improving data validity and productivity. At Car Toys, they worked as an Accounts Payable Specialist from 2014 to 2016, managing invoice processing, vendor relationships, and calculation of discounts and sales tax. From 2016 to 2016, they served as an Accounts Payable Specialist at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, ensuring compliance with policies and federal regulations and validating contract deliverables. In 2018, Erin joined Run Studios as a Staff Accountant before being promoted to Production Accountant in 2019. In their current role as Senior Production Accountant, they are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, preparing reports, processing expense reports, and managing invoice billings.

Erin Layer attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology.
