When we opened the very first Running Free store in 1980 we wanted to provide the running and athletic community with superior customer service, the best value, and a simply great shopping experience. More than 30 years later, runners, walkers, triathletes, swimmers, cyclists, adventure athletes, and casual athletes alike are still telling us that they keep coming back is for these very reasons.

Whether you need clothing for your first triathlon, to be assessed for new running shoes, or just good advice, visit our massive store in Markham or shop online and you'll discover people that are confident, knowledgeable, and passionate about helping you find what you're looking for. You'll also find one of the most complete selections of footwear, clothing, accessories, nutrition, and cool gadgets, at some of the lowest prices anywhere in Canada.

Every year through our Team Running Free sponsorship program we support 200+ local athletes of all abilities, and give them the tools to accomplish their goals and fulfill their dreams. We believe strongly that active community involvement is a way to reach out to our customers and to give back, by supporting community events, local charities, and collecting thousands of used shoes annually through our Re-Use shoe program that are distributed to less fortunate people here at home, and around the world.
