Shawn Hoffman

Shawn Hoffman has had a varied and successful career in the field of data science and baseball strategy. In 2020, they became the VP of Product & Data Science at Runwise. Prior to that, they were a Special Assistant for Baseball Strategy at the Milwaukee Brewers from 2016 to 2020. From 2015 to 2016, they were an Advisor for Data Science and Machine Learning at Hickory. From 2009 to 2015, they worked at the Tampa Bay Rays, first as Director of Scouting Analytics, then as Lead Analyst of Amateur Scouting, Analyst of Baseball Research & Development, Assistant of Baseball Research & Development and Consultant. From 2007 to 2009, they were Co-Founder of Terabolic Consulting and also a Writer for Baseball Prospectus.

Shawn Hoffman attended the University of Michigan from 2003 to 2007.
