In Khmer “Ruom Kanea” means all together, or going together. Ruom is an organic collaboration between photographers, journalists, videographers, and researchers, drawn together by a passion for social documentary work.

It is a space to showcase regional and international projects undertaken by our members with the aim of giving voice to global issues that may be underreported by the mainstream media.

By maintaining a high benchmark for quality work and collective editorial oversight, working with any Ruom member means benefiting from the group’s decades of experience across multiple forms of media.
