Founded in 1971 as Rutherford Contracting Services, our organization was established by Dick Rutherford as a small civil, renovation, and maintenance contracting company. Despite Dick’s retirement in 1989, our company has continued to thrive under the guidance of both Principals and Management. Today, Rutherford Contracting Ltd. is widely recognized as the preferred contractor for Owners and Consultants in the construction field. Our success over the past 50 years is attributed to the trust and support of our clients, as well as the dedication of our team to providing not only a good product but also an exceptional experience.

As a General Building and Site Development Contractor, we serve the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors. Our building construction division specializes in educational facility renovations and additions, as well as the restoration of historically significant structures. Additionally, our site development division handles civil and infrastructure contracts, park and athletic sports field construction, trail development, and re-naturalization/habitat projects. To meet ongoing maintenance needs, we operate a facilities management division dedicated to serving our valued clients.
