Julie Porter

Julie began her IT career working on a mainframe for the UK Ministry of Defense, developing in Assembler. Progressing to Oracle software, she was part of a team that designed, built and maintained the Royal Air Force Logistics Supply System.

Her next move was to IFS UK, as a developer and technical consultant. During her time at IFS UK she also mentored new developers.

She transferred to the US, initially as a developer, progressing to Technical Solution Manager for upgrade projects, being involved from pre-study phase through to successful implementation. As part of this role she worked with onshore and offshore resources, on such activities as estimating, creating formal statements of work, planning, scheduling, developing through to delivery. She was the technical point of contact between departments and project team members, both internally and externally, working to achieve delivery requirements and expectations to meet cost, revenue and quality levels.
