John Holden is a skilled platform engineer with extensive experience in infrastructure engineering, particularly in GCP and AWS environments. Currently at RVU since February 2025, John previously held the same title at SpareRoom from May 2022 to February 2025, where expertise included Kubernetes orchestration, internal tooling in Go and Python, Linux Systems Administration, Puppet Configuration as Code, and CI/CD practices. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Engineering Consultant at Accenture UK & Ireland, focused on developing containerized Python healthcare microservices and migrating data platforms to AWS, as well as an earlier role as an Associate Software Engineering Consultant, where John developed distributed ETL applications. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Applied Mathematics and an MPhys in Theoretical Physics from the University of Leeds, complemented by A-Level studies in Physics, Mathematics, and Biology from Milton Keynes College.
