Richard Boyes

Richard Boyes has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Richard currently works as an Engineering Team Lead at RVU since March 2023. Previously, they were a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Confused.com from January 2021 to February 2023. Richard also served as a Senior Data Scientist at Centrica from March 2018 to January 2021, where they led a data science team and worked on projects such as expense fraud detection, email routing, and solar panel identification. Prior to that, at Renishaw from May 2015 to March 2018, they were the Team Leader of the Imaging Software Development Group and led projects related to surgical planning and brain imaging segmentation. Richard also worked as a Team Leader and Senior Software Engineer at Spark Dental Technology from May 2012 to May 2015, where they developed patient information systems and medical image viewers. Additionally, they worked at Bioengineering Institute, Auckland University as a Research Engineer from March 2010 to May 2012 and at Medicsight as a Research Engineer from January 2008 to February 2010, focusing on medical image analysis. Richard started their career as a Research Fellow at University College London from February 2002 to December 2007.

Richard Boyes completed their education at The University of Auckland. From 1993 to 1996, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Science. Richard then furthered their studies and obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Science from 1997 to 1998.
