Christopher Stowell is the Artistic Director of Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet, a role they have held since 2025. With over three decades of experience in the dance world, Stowell has served as the Associate Artistic Director at The National Ballet of Canada from 2017 to 2022, and previously as the Artistic Director at Oregon Ballet Theatre from 2003 to 2013. Their career began at San Francisco Ballet, where they excelled as both a Principal Dancer and an Assistant to the Artistic Director from 1985 to 2001. Currently, they are also affiliated with the Pacific Northwest Ballet School.
