Michael Carl

Michael Carl, P.Eng. is a Senior Engineer at RWDI, specializing in high-performance ventilation strategies, thermal comfort, and building energy systems analysis since October 2008. Notable projects include the ventilation and thermal comfort assessment for the third expansion of the Makkah Grand Mosque. Previously, Michael served as a Technical Coordinator, focusing on building performance modeling of internal ventilation and energy systems. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the University of Victoria, where Michael developed a computational model of solid oxide fuel cells and contributed to peer-reviewed publications. Additionally, work as an Environmental EIT at Conestoga-Rovers & Associates involved technical writing and environmental control design. Michael holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph.
