Rick Methold

Rick Methold is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental consultancy and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Director at RWDI since April 2022, Methold has been a Director at Southdowns Environmental Consultants Ltd since July 1998, contributing to numerous high-profile projects, including Dublin Metrolink, HS2, and Crossrail. Between 1997 and 2002, Methold worked as the Noise and Vibration Manager for High Speed 1 at Rail Link Engineering, where specialized expertise was provided in noise mitigation and compliance during the Channel Tunnel Rail Link project. Earlier experience includes a consultancy role at Ashdown Environmental, focusing on Environmental Impact Assessments and the development of software for railway noise prediction. Methold holds a BEng(Hons) in Electroacoustics from The University of Salford.
