Karin Sim

Karin Sim is a Senior Research Scientist specializing in natural language processing, focusing on large language models. They previously worked as a Machine Translation Scientist at Iconic Translation Machines and as a Senior Data Scientist at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where they developed datasets and applied NLP techniques. Karin also gained experience as a Machine Translation Specialist at Lingo24 and a Research Assistant at the University of Glasgow, contributing to multilingual sentiment analysis during crisis management projects. They hold a Master of Science in IT Software and Systems from Glasgow University and are currently pursuing a BA (Hons) in Language Interpretation and Translation at Heriot-Watt University, while also having completed a PhD candidacy at The University of Sheffield.
