Ed Bierly

Ed Bierly has a diverse work experience spanning over four decades. Ed started their career in 1975 as a professional musician, working as a self-employed individual. In 1982, they worked as a paid intern at McKinsey & Company for two months. From 1983 to 1985, they served as an actuarial programmer at SBLI USA. Bierly then joined First Boston in 1985 and worked there as a Vice President until 1991. During their time at Millennium Partners, from 1991 to 2012, they held the position of Director of Software Development. In 1991, they also worked as a consultant at Molecular Tool. Bierly then worked as a senior kdb+ consultant at quantumKDB from January to July 2014. Following that, they served as the IT Lead Data Sciences at Purdue Pharma L.P. from February 2014 to August 2016. Currently, Bierly works as a Data Architect at RxDataScience Inc., a position they have held since October 2016.

Ed Bierly attended The Juilliard School from 1970 to 1975, where they earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Clarinet and Composition. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications from Coursera. In 2012, they completed the "Machine Learning" certification. In 2013, they received a certification in "Web Intelligence and Big Data." In 2014, they obtained certifications in "Getting and Cleaning Data," "R Programming," and "The Data Scientist's Toolbox."
