Patient Solutions Lead at RxPx

Amanda Simmons, MSW, RSW has a diverse range of work experience. Amanda currently works at RxPx as a Patient Solutions Lead, where they collaborate with the Product Solutions team to prioritize patient feedback in the development of mobile apps. Amanda also leads the Engagement & Outreach team, managing and mentoring subject matter experts on RxPx platforms. Prior to joining RxPx, they worked as a Community Manager for the company. Amanda also gained experience as a Child and Family Clinician Intern at Dufferin Child and Family Services, where they provided therapy sessions and facilitated groups for children, youth, and families. Earlier in their career, Amanda worked as a Retail Sales Associate at The Source, assisting customers with their tech needs, and as an Addictions Counsellor Intern at The Vitanova Foundation, where they delivered addiction treatment services. Amanda also worked as a Charity Fundraising Coordinator for We Planet Earth, raising funds for international girls' education initiatives, and as a Sales Associate and Cashier at Walmart.

Amanda Simmons holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from York University, which they obtained from 2019 to 2020. Prior to their master's degree, they also completed a Bachelor's degree in Social Work at York University from 2015 to 2019. In terms of additional certifications, Amanda has obtained various certificates in different areas such as peer support worker training, digital engagement and vigilance activities training, adverse events training, community manager training, and more. Amanda is also a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Additionally, Amanda holds certifications in emergency first aid, CPR, SafeTALK, and HIGH FIVE.
