Julia Kornfield

Julia Kornfield is a distinguished academic and industry leader in the field of chemical engineering. With over three decades of experience, Kornfield currently serves on the Scientific Advisory Board at Allegro Pharmaceuticals and is a co-founder of Calhoun Vision, Inc. Kornfield has held a professorship at the California Institute of Technology since 1990, where responsibilities include directing the Materials Research Science & Engineering Center (MRSEC). Previous experience includes membership on the Technology Advisory Board at Borealis from 2005 to 2008. Educational credentials comprise a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, a Master’s Degree from Caltech, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Caltech, alongside post-doctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research.
