Mark Schmalzer

Mark Schmalzer is currently the SVP Head of Business Shared Services at Ryan Specialty, a position held since 2023. Previously, they served as the Global Operations Leader at Aon from 2019 to 2023, overseeing 7,000 colleagues and managing a substantial expense budget while implementing strategic vision and operational leadership. Mark also held various roles at Aon, including Managing Principal - Aon Client Services and Director of Financial Operations at Aon Risk Solutions, where they contributed to major initiatives that significantly enhanced operational efficiency and client service. Mark earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Accounting and Finance from Mount Saint Mary's College between 1979 and 1983.
