Ciarán Heeney

Ciarán Heeney is the Deputy Powerplant Manager at Ryanair, where they manage powerplant operations across a fleet of over 600 aircraft and supervise more than 1,200 operational engines. Prior to this role, Ciarán worked as a Powerplant Engineer in Technical Services at Ryanair and held various engineering positions at Jaguar Land Rover, contributing to the development of the company’s first full electric vehicle. Ciarán holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, where they graduated with distinction, and has a background in coaching and lifeguarding, showcasing a diverse skill set.
