Mark Ponsford

Mark Ponsford is a seasoned aviation professional with over 8,000 hours of total flying time. Currently serving as a Boeing 737 Captain at Ryanair, Mark has previously held positions as Operations Manager and Pilot at Cega Air Ambulance, where they organized thousands of patient repatriations. With experience as a Line Training Captain and Ground Operations Manager at Channel Jets, as well as a Captain at Flybe, Mark brings a wealth of expertise to their roles in flight operations. Mark also took on a creative role in 2020, designing and making paddleboard seats for children during the COVID-19 lockdown, alongside a brief stint as a supermarket delivery driver. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Yacht and Powercraft Design from Southampton Solent University.
